Dear friends, 
John Stanley has passed away. He was a pioneer in wrist arthroscopy.
He explained to me, a long time ago, that he performed a wrist arthroscopy systematically before all open surgeries in order on the one hand to learn the technique, and on the other hand to confirm the diagnosis.
The book they had written with Philippe Saffar, certainly did not have the exceptional visionary side of that of Terry Whipple, but contributed to the development of wrist arthroscopy at a time when this technique was in its infancy.
We will not forget him.
