IWAS JUNIOR GRANT
Purpose of the grant
The grant will be awarded to a young surgeon wanting to learn more about wrist surgery and wrist arthroscopy.
The grant should be used for travelling to learn from a senior, to develop new ideas or to perform studies within the field of wrist arthroscopy.
Amount and duration
The grant will be 2’000€ but may be adapted upon decision of the council and financial situation of the society.
Eligibility
The applicant must be
- A surgeon
- An IWAS member
How to apply
Candidates can send their applications before October 1st of each year to the address secretary@wristarthroscopy.org and must include the following documents (SAVED AS SEPARATE DOCUMENTS):
- A short CV focused on the candidate’s interests in arthroscopy
- Two letters of recommendation signed by IWAS members
- Application form with personal statement
The IWAS Executive Council will evaluate applications at the regular meeting in November of each year.
The winner will be notified, and his/her name will be presented at the next FESSH meeting in June.
The grant will be paid in October of the same year.
The winner will deliver a 5 minutes report on his/her experience and achievements in the immediate next FESSH meeting, during the IWAS symposium.
